Over the last three months we've had so much fun watching Riley grow and it has amazed me how exciting the smallest milestones can be. Two of our favorites of course being her smile and baby coos. Getting her up in the morning is always rewarded with a big smile and she is getting more and more "talkative". It's been so sweet hearing her make more happy sounds and finding her voice.
We've also made some good strides with her sleep schedule. Right now she goes down anywhere from 5:30-6:30, I wake her up at 10 to feed her for a bit and then she sleeps until 4-5 am, I feed her again, and then we are usually up for the day between 7:30-8:30 am. She also goes down a lot quicker which has been a life saver. Instead of sitting and rocking her for an hour to make sure she's solidly asleep she can usually get herself to fall asleep after 10 minutes or so. She's started sucking her fingers to calm herself down which has been super helpful. She doesn't keep her pacifier in very well, but we just keep her hand free so she can suck on it and it works most of the time.
Just in the last week she's started to be more content during her waking hours. She's awake a lot more during the day which may be because she is sleeping better most nights. She is interacting more with her toys and likes to look around when we go on walks.
She's affectionately referred to as love, lovey, baby, baby girl, sweetheart, ladybug, cuddle-bug, bug, little monkey, and principessa. She's less affectionately referred to as little punk, little midget, and little leech. :)
